In the recent devastating flood and severe cyclone in August and November 2007 respectively, BURO responds with huge amount of survival package for 260,000 affected families in 10 districts along with huge rehabilitation program. Here is a snap shot:
BURO Emergency Disaster Response 2007-2008
Millions of people have been severely affected by the devastating flood in 40 districts in August and catastrophic cyclone in 15 districts of Bangladesh. From the beginning BURO initiated emergency flood response followed by rehabilitation assistance to the flood and cyclone victims in 14 affected districts with the assistance (in cash and in kinds) from its development partners. Here is a snap shot:
